What do the different statuses mean? #
InboxPulse classifies each email into one of four categories.
✅ Valid #
A valid email means the mailbox exists and is ready to receive messages.
These emails:
- Have high deliverability
- Are safe to use in campaigns
⚠️ Risky #
Risky emails may still work, but they come with uncertainty.
Examples include:
- Catch-all emails
- Role-based addresses
- Domains with weak configuration
You can send to these, but it’s recommended to proceed carefully.
❌ Invalid #
Invalid emails will not receive messages.
These include:
- Non-existent mailboxes
- Invalid domains
- Disposable addresses
These should always be removed.
❓ Unknown #
Unknown results occur when the server cannot provide a clear answer.
This may happen due to:
- Temporary server issues
- Timeouts
- Strict security settings
These emails can often be retried later.
📄 What are sub-statuses? #
Sub-statuses provide more detailed insights into why an email was categorized a certain way.
For example:
- “Catch-All” → domain accepts all emails
- “Disposable” → temporary email provider
- “Role-Based” → shared inbox
- “Invalid Domain” → domain cannot receive emails
These details help you make better decisions.
